Were you able to catch my Brand Builders TV episode, Do You Want a Blissful Life? If you missed it, no worries! I am sharing the entire stress relief meditation video with you, below.
But first, let’s talk about how we’re going to roll. You will learn about the three most important relationships you can ever have, then we’ll go into a meditation, so you can have a tool to use daily, to keep that conversation going. And, since you and I both know that when you want to be calm, you don’t have time for meditation, I’m sharing a video with stress-relief techniques you can use when you need them. No one will even know you’re using them. Just go to yourblissfuljourney.com/stress-relief/ for access to that video.
Who is your most important conversation with? It’s with yourself. How about you get to know Me, Myself and I? Your Body, Mind and Spirit? Because when you’re out of balance, it’s like a three-legged stool…kind of wobbly and life can be unstable, with huge ups and ginormous downs.
I’d like to ask you a few questions. Who has trouble with a busy brain? Maybe when you’re trying to fall asleep at night, your brain won’t let you go. Maybe your body has aches. What do you do with those aches? Do you try to tamp them down or do you pay attention? What does your heart really want? What do you long for? Not just short-term, but the big picture? Do you know?
What if you could quiet your mind? What if you could understand what the pains mean? And what if you really knew what you want? How would your life be different?
Take a moment and write down a couple ideas on that, so you have something to investigate as we move along.
Why is this the most important conversation you can have? If you have ever walked your dogs (or have seen someone walking their two dogs), one dog wants to go one way, the other wants to go the other way, and the person is either stuck in the middle or trying to drag them along. It’s not easy. How do you get everybody on the same page?
If you have The Dog Whisperer around, that’s helpful. You can say, “Hey, we’re going this way.” Maybe you have a treat to entice the dogs. But if everyone is already on the same page, then you’re going in the same direction. Everybody can have a good time. Nobody ends up with sore arms or legs, or feeling out-of-sorts. And that’s the goal.
So without further ado, let’s get into that meditation! You can watch and listen, in the video below, or you can read the transcript in the article Stress Relief Meditation with Sally DiCesare.
A Stress Relief Meditation Follow-Up
I would suggest meditating in this way on a regular basis. Write down your experiences on a separate gingerbread man every time, and save them so you can look back and remember where you’ve been and how far you’ve come.
Again, your relationship with yourself is one of the most important relationships you’ll ever have. This stress relief meditation is a great way to work on that relationship.
I would love to continue the conversation about the ways you can offset the pains, strains and stressors that can litter your high-powered path. Visit https://www.yourblissfuljourney.com/ regularly. In today’s article, Sally DiCesare is going to take you through a stress-relief meditation you can use any time you need to feel more grounded, more nourished, or more in touch with what your body is trying to tell you.
The relationship with yourself is one of the most important relationships you will ever have, and this meditation will help you to improve upon that relationship.
So get comfortable. You’re about to embark upon a short, but life-giving, journey. You may choose to watch the Brand Builders TV episode in which Sally talk you through the meditation. Or, if you prefer to read rather than listen, the transcript of the entire meditation is included below.
Meet Sally DiCesare

No matter your industry, you will benefit from Sally’s stress remedies. Her techniques, tools and solutions will not only help you to achieve your goals, but to fully appreciate and experience the living of your passion.
The following are Sally’s own words, taken directly from her Brand Builders TV episode, Do You Want a Blissful Life?
A Stress Relief Mediation for Your Blissful Journey
What we’re going to do today is give you a resource you can go to in order to be on the same page.
To help with the meditation, get a sheet of paper and draw a gingerbread man. If you have colored pencils, that would be great, too. Or you can just use your pen and write. Put the date at the top so you know where you were and how far you’ve progressed. It’s just nice to see those things.
Now take a few deep breaths. I like to breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth.
This is a stress relief meditation to check on yourself. You’re just saying hello. It’s like going on a first date. You’re just getting to know each other. A lot of us don’t pay attention to what our bodies are doing. We’re in our heads a lot because in society, that’s where we’re taught to be. We’re not really listening to our hearts because we were told, “You have to have this job because it’s going to give you ________ or make you _______,” and we push down those desires that we had.
But now, it’s time to pay attention to what you have. We came here with a body that’s supposed to carry us around, a mind so we can see, investigate, evaluate and appreciate this beautiful world. And our soul is what directs us into our higher purpose. It gives us that goal that’s bigger than ourselves.
So again, take a few breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Notice how that feels, taking time to breathe and noticing how the breath works.
Let’s play with what it would feel like if your feet had roots. If your feet had roots that could go down into the earth. Notice what those roots look like and feel like to you. They can be different every time. There’s nothing wrong with any of this. It is what it is.
Maybe you don’t see roots. That’s okay. Just pretend. Say, “I wonder, if I had roots, what would that feel like?” If you think this is crazy and will never happen, maybe you can say, “Maybe I never will, but just this once, I will be open to the possibility and actually feel what Sally is talking about. I’ll actually sense it. I’ll actually hear.” Use all your senses.
As your roots are going into the ground, notice what the soil feels like. It can be like the soil of your environment or it can be something like you are in the mountains, or on sand. Just notice how that feels. Be curious, because that’s the open emotion. It allows possibilities. It allows for something to be different, instead of expecting the same things.
Your roots may be scattering shallowly, near the surface. You might have one root that goes way down into the earth. You could have a combination. The cool thing about the earth is that it has everything we need. It has a magnetic current. Our hearts and bodies have magnetic currents. It has all the minerals that created our bodies, and it’s there to support us. The earth has never had judgement of humans. It is what it is. She is always there for us.
As you notice how it feels to have your roots in the ground, take note of how your feet feel with these roots—roots that are bringing up nourishment…all the benefits of the earth.
You can ask yourself, “What would feel so good to me right now?” You don’t even have to know what you need because your body and your soul (and your mind on a certain level) know. Invite what you need to pull in through your feet. Look at your feet and notice maybe they’re not the same size (in your mind’s eye…in your imagination). Maybe one is not as firmly planted as the other, even though both are flat on the floor.
As you breathe, draw in more nourishment from the earth. Let what you need from the earth fill your cells, your capillaries, your bones, your toenails…all the way out to the ends of each strand of hair. Feel your ankles and your heels. You might be noticing a color. Notice where it’s easy to accept this nourishment, and where your body is more resistant to it. It’s okay. Whatever happens is perfect because you’re doing it. It is what it is.
As you pull this energy up, you can go as fast or as slowly as you want. You’ll pull it up past your ankles, which have been filled with a color, a vibration, a knowing…in your joints and your joint fluid. Draw it up your shin bones, filling all the muscles of your calves. Your legs are amazing. Your body is amazing.
Even if you happen to be missing an organ or body part that I mention, know that the energy of that is still with you. Play with this and have a good time. Because this is play.
Pull that up with another breath in. Fill your knees. If there’s something aching in your knees, pay attention to that. Don’t ignore it. Your body is telling you something you need to know. Ask, “Tell me more about that pain,” or, “Tell me more about that creak.” “Where am I creaking in my life? What can I do to support you?”
As you move up, you’re still communicating with your body because you’re noticing. Pull up all that beautiful energy from the earth into your thigh bones. Oh my gosh, the history that your thigh bones have! Your bones turn over the most slowly in your body, and these thigh bones work on your body’s immunity by creating the cells that will become blood and immune cells. Fill those and nourish that. Nourish that part of your body and thank it for doing its best.
Pull it up into your bum. Feel the energy, the color, the vibration.
What would feel most nourishing to your back right now? “How can I most support my body, mind and soul?” Let that energy fill your pelvic bowl, all of your organs. Breathe up your spine. Feed all those nerves in your spine because they innervate every part of your body. Your spine’s health is so important.
Notice the areas that are easy to fill, as well as the areas where it’s not so easy. These will be things you’ll be writing on your gingerbread man. So pay attention to this, and to any ideas that come to mind. Your body has such a great memory. And if it’s coming up, it’s ready to be looked at. It’s ready to be evaluated.
As you breathe even deeper, fill your torso with that energy. Fill your ribs. Allow that energy to flow around into your ribs and your breastbone. Let it settle into your lungs and your stomach. Breathe in.
Shout out to our thymus. Because we all want to stay healthy and in our best-ever shape.
Breathe over your shoulders. Notice how it feels to have this energy. You might feel coolness, or you might feel warmth. Take note of how that feels to you. Do you like it cool? Do you like it warm? You can be asking, “What is my soul trying to tell me it needs?”
Behind the thymus and breastbone is your heart. Rest in your heart. Breathe in your heart. Pull up oxygen. Pull up the energy of the earth to support your heart even more. If you need to re-ground—recheck your roots—go right ahead. Take all the time you need.
Breathe into your throat and your jawbone. And your teeth (when we’re stressed, they can take quite a beating). And the muscles in your face; let them be nourished by the earth. The bones in your head, your ears and your nose. If you have trouble with allergies or congestion in your sinuses, just notice what they look like, in particular. What would they like to feel like? In this space—this energy—just ask the earth to get that for you. Maybe your sinuses feel kind of gray, and they need pink. “I wonder what it would feel like to have pink in my sinuses?”
Feel your eyes; they work so hard, especially watching videos and zoom calls all the time. And your brain. I’d say it has slowed down a little bit, but there’s always something else the brain needs. Be curious. Ask what it needs to be at its best. Maybe it’s more water. Maybe it’s more time outside.
Now ask, “What does my soul want to reach for?” Expect an answer. You may not get the answer today, but keep expecting it. The fact that you want something means you deserve it, and it’s out there for you. Take one more nice deep breath in and allow the energy of the earth to flow out the top of your head and down over the outside of your arms; down into the earth. And with another breath, breathe into your shoulders and down your arms, filling those bones—your elbows, wrists and all the joints and bones in your hands.
Just be curious. Let that energy flow out your fingers and down into the earth. You sit there for as long as you’d like, but I’m going to let you go now. I’d love to hear what you like about that and what you feel you were missing, because this is just the beginning of the conversation.
Wiggle your fingers and toes. Rotate your ankles. Rotate your neck. Write down what you experienced on your gingerbread man and promise to visit yourself regularly.
I’d love to know how it goes, and I want to thank you so much for joining me. It’s been my pleasure to share. I love this exercise.

Get to Know Angi Reid
With a corporate background spanning nearly two decades, Angi Reid purchased a family catering business and used it as a springboard to create a banquet and event empire. Out of the blue, she was presented with an opportunity to sell the business and she accepted. The change came fast, though, and she found herself struggling with depression and loneliness. She struggled to determine what should be next, and felt lost after selling that business.
Angi did some real work to discover what her true passions were. She followed her intuition, as well as nudges from The Universe, to earn her Reflexology certification. She went on to educate herself on the many aspects of essential oils and used that knowledge to open FLŌ (Feet Love Oils), with four locations in the southeast United States. Angi Reid is a columnist, author and international speaker as well. Her mission is to help people positively influence their emotional, physical and financial health.
You have followed Angi along her business-building and business-selling journeys. Now it’s time to discover how she did it.
How I Started My Business—The Business of My Dreams
Grab a pencil and paper. You’re going to create a Universe To-Do List. This is a popular type of to-do list that you may have heard of, but it’s important to complete it often.
At the top of the paper, on the left side, write the word “Me.” On the top right side, write “God, Universe, Source”…or whatever you call your higher power. Draw a vertical line down the center of that paper.
On the left side, I want you to write your action steps. I wrote Go to School, Teach Classes, Create a Workshop, Call Someone, Make an Appointment, etc. On The Universe’s side, think as big as possible, because The Universe has no limit. I wrote Global Business, Touching Many Lives, Create a Brand Around FLO, etc.
Trust in those nudges. Let The Universe do its thing. After you write your list, take that paper and tear it down the middle. Burn The Universe’s side. Let The Universe have it. Do not take it back. Let The Universe know that you’re turning those requests over. Let those requests go and let The Universe do its job.
A problem is not really a problem if it can be solved with action. The things I had been labeling as problems weren’t really problems. Because it only took a few action steps to solve them.
I want to let you know about something that a friend shared with me, and that I in turn shared with someone else. I was told that I was being selfish for not sharing my gifts. If you have gifts you’re not sharing, don’t be selfish. Don’t keep them for just you or a close-knit group of people. I had been dimming my light to make everyone around me feel comfortable. Once I started letting that light shine, my comfort level changed and now I’m saying yes to more things. The fact that I said yes to that personal development workshop, said yes to Ecuador, yes to Brand Builders, yes to doing Who’s in the FLO Interviews, yes to writing that book…has all gotten me to the point where I’m on Brand Builders TV and connecting with you, talking about saying yes and trusting those nudges.
Be present. One of my favorite quotes that’s in my book is, “If I have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow, I’m pissing all over the day I’m guaranteed.” I try not to live in yesterday and complain about what has happened because I can’t un-ring that bell. I really strive to stay out of tomorrow because I’m not guaranteed that moment. What I’m guaranteed is right now, right here with you.
I built my business by offering “fries with that order.” If you have “fries” to offer with your order, offer the “fries.” The challenges I’ve overcome are depression, loneliness, feeling unworthy, low self-confidence, self-doubt…but I learned that we’re never given a desire without being given the tools to make that desire come true.
Prayer really helped with my depression. It helped with my loneliness. Reframing my thoughts also helped. When I thought Woe is me, I’m not a mom. All these other women are moms, they have kids, it’s Mother’s Day…I realized that when I sold my business I didn’t stop throwing parties. I was throwing the biggest pity party in the world for myself. It was a private party, just for me. I stayed there for a while, until I took the action step to go to school. Reframing my thoughts really helped me to shut down the pity party. Doing the workshops and saying yes to things, listening to nudges and knowing my desires were sent just for me made me feel very special and like my gift was worthy of being shared with other people.
Angi Reid: “I Started My Business with a Nudge Planted by God and The Universe”
If you want to see what The Universe has in store for you, like Angi did, get to work on that Universe To-Do List and take action on those things you can do today. As for the rest (the items on The Universe’s side), place your intentions and give up control of those items. Follow your gut, listen to your intuition, pay attention to nudges…and watch as your passion takes shape.
If you’ve gained anything from this series of articles with Angi Reid, or from viewing the episode of Brand Builders TV, Help! I’ve Started my Business! What Do I Do Now? with Angi Reid, then I hope you’ll share them with a friend who needs some uplifting life and business advice.

If you have just started a business, if you’re thinking about starting a business, thinking of selling your business, or you’ve already sold your business, you’ve come to the right place. A business can be all-consuming. It can become part of the way you eat, sleep and breathe. It can become part of your family, or start to feel like one of your children. Those are just some of the things Angi Reid felt as she grew and ultimately sold her catering and event venue.
If you haven’t already read Part 1 of this three-part series, you’ll want to start there: Help! I’ve Started My Business! What Do I Do Now? Part 1 with Angi Reid. Then you’ll have the background you need to move through Angi’s journey with her.
This article, along with the other two in the series, has been developed using Angi’s own words from the Brand Builders TV episode Help! I’ve Started my Business! What Do I Do Now? with Angi Reid. You may wish to watch the entire episode below, or scroll down a bit to read about how Angi moved on after selling her business—which was a big part of her life.
A Bit About Angi Reid
With nearly 20 years’ experience in corporate administration, sales and purchasing, Angi Reid bought a catering business and transformed it into a full-service event and banquet venue. After she received an unexpected offer from someone who wanted to buy the business, she sold it…only to find herself feeling alone, depressed and without a plan for what would come next.
Inspired by a compliment from her own Reflexologist years prior, she listened to her intuition and became certified in Reflexology. To that she added a desire to learn more about essential oils, and voila! FLŌ (Feet Love Oils) was born. Today, Angi is a published columnist, author, Reflexologist, essential oils educator, international speaker, owner of four business locations…all part of helping others to enhance their physical, emotional and financial health.
You’ve read about Angi’s first business. Now let’s hear about what happened when she sold it, in her own words.
I Started My Business…Then I Sold My Business
In 2003, a friend of a friend of a friend came to my door and asked if I would be willing to sell my business. I thought and prayed about it. I recognized that everything is for sale, for the right price, except for my soul. I upped the value of the business. I went back to her and told her what I wanted for the company, considering that I had events planned for the next year-and-a-half. The next day she said, “Yes!”
I had no idea what I was going to do. In 60 days’ time, we signed the papers and I was gone. I thought the new owners might call me to use my expertise and some of my successes and information I’d gathered along the way. But, no, they didn’t need me anymore.
The boys I had been signing paychecks for…they were my family. I loved them dearly and we worked together day and night. There were a lot of nights I didn’t get out of there until three or four in the morning. It was a hard job, but it was very lucrative.
So I closed on the business. I was able to pay off my home and make some investments. I had never gotten one check that large in my life. It was very unexpected. That was 17 years ago, and I had no idea what was ahead of me.
There was depression. I questioned my direction—I had no earthly idea what I was going to do. I felt lonely. I felt like I had lost my identity, because up until that point, I was known as Angi from Inviting Events. Inviting Events was my last name. Now I had to restructure myself as Angi Reid, doing whatever I was going to do.
Then I remembered that I had gone to cosmetology school. I could do hair or…then I thought about the reflexology practitioner telling me that I have a gift. I remembered that nudge, which was way before I started any personal development. I was telling my British mother-in-law about my choices: style hair or go to reflexology school. She said, “Oh, Ang. You don’t want to stand on your feet all day. It’s bloody horrible on your legs.”
So she’s saying, “Don’t stand on your feet.” The other guy is saying, “Go work on feet.” And there just happened to be a reflexology school 45 minutes from my home. I started school within six months and became a certified reflexologist just to help my family and friends.
I never dreamed that following the nudge and taking that step would help me to move forward and keep going with those other nudges. It’s been an amazing ride. I started working on my family and friends. One thing led to another. I got a nudge to work in North Georgia at a wellness spa. I got another nudge to work at a day spa, not too far away. I had my home office as well.
In 2015, after I had established those three locations, a friend of mine had double knee replacement surgery. I invited her to stay at my home to recuperate. I knew I would need something for pain and something for scars. By divine intervention, this nudge came to me in a neighborhood newspaper. The headline read, Natural Versus Synthetic. It was about essential oils. I called the author and spoke with her about the essential oils. I told her, “I don’t want to sell these, I don’t want to teach about them…I just want them for my clients. That’s it.”
About two months later, I taught my first essential oils class. About ten months after that, I went to my first personal development workshop…at the age of 55. I hadn’t put together the fact that these nudges had been coming my way all this time. But thank God and The Universe that my inner being was following them. Because they’ve created the path I’m on now.
Now I recognize that I’m aligned and focusing with my inner being. I’m trusting those nudges, and when they happen, I act.
Have you ever gotten a nudge that you trusted and noticed that your path was starting to flow? Or have you ever gotten those nudges and didn’t follow them, and then thought I should have trusted that instinct? Those are the nudges we get that I’m so grateful I had and followed…to get me to the point where I am now. That personal development course changed my life. From that course, I got invited and approved and accepted to become part of a global docuseries called Awakening Giants. That’s where I met Sammy, the founder of Brand Builders Club and Brand Builders TV.
I had no idea where that was going to take me, but I followed the nudge and I said, “Yes!”
One of the things I’ve been doing for the past few years is digesting the information and saying yes to the things I know are aligned with my path and where I need to go.
I said yes to going to Ecuador, I met Sammy, I became part of the Brand Builders Club, and then Sammy and I sat down and started talking about my business. The essential oils business was great for me, but the “fries” were in reflexology. I could offer the foot work with oils, and I had “fries.”
And so I received this amazing download while I was in the shower (that’s where I get my downloads, or ideas). It said, “Your brand name is FLŌ, and it stands for Feet Love Oils.” The light bulb was lit. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about it now because it has created an entire brand for me. I now do Who’s in the FLO? videos and interviews. I trademarked that name and built my entire brand around it.
Last November, while I was journaling, I got a nudge that said I would start writing a book that same day. It would be a book of 365 daily tips, including inspiration, self-discovery and growth. It would be called The Daily FLO. That book has been written and transcribed. It’s on hold right now because I have another book coming out.
Trust those nudges.
Angi Says, “I Started My Business…Again”
Angi Reid is a perfect example of how you can follow your intuition—your gut—and land exactly where you’re meant to be. Every step of the journey can feel like a final destination…until it doesn’t anymore. That means The Universe is asking you to expand your expectations and to go where your heart leads you.
Speaking of The Universe, you’re going to learn how Angi allowed (and still allows) The Universe to guide her through her life’s journey. She would not have landed in a business that gives her purpose, that fulfils her passion and that helps people around the world without it.
In the final instalment of this three-part series, Help! I’ve Started My Business! What Do I Do Now? Part 3 with Angi Reid, Angi is going to teach you how to create a Universe To-Do List, so you can do your part whilst letting your higher power take care of the rest. It’s simple, but oh-so important to moving forward with purpose.
If Angi’s journey has piqued your interest in Brand Builders TV or the Brand Builders Club, then you simply must visit lite.brandbuilders.club/member to learn more. There’s no long-term commitment (you can cancel at any time), and while you’re there you’ll have the pleasure of working with Angi and other passionate professionals. You’ll get to participate in Thinkubators, where you’ll get a 10-minute hot seat all about your business, and you’ll gain knowledge and wisdom that can only come from other seasoned entrepreneurs.
Check it out. I hope to see you in the club!
Today’s article is coming to you from Angi Reid, reflexology practitioner, essential oils educator, author, and owner of FLŌ Studios and creator of the FLŌ Technique. In this, the first of a three-part series, Angi is going to take us through how she built a successful catering business, sold it for more than she’d ever imagined and then went on to fulfill her life’s purpose.
In this series, you are going to gain access to strategies you can use to move forward with ease and flow in every area of life and business. Angi’s journey wasn’t an easy one; there were some bumps along the way. But you can learn from how she listened to ‘nudges’ and her intuition in order to let her light shine in the world. What did she do and how did she do it? How did she make the shift to something completely new? What challenges did she overcome?
Stay with us to find out. This article has been derived from the Brand Builders TV episode Help! I’ve Started my Business! What Do I Do Now? with Angi Reid. You may wish to watch the entire episode below, or scroll down a bit to read about how Angi did it, in her own words.
It’s time to learn it, model it and get shit done! Let’s go!
Meet Angi Reid
With nearly two decades’ experience in corporate purchasing, sales and administration, Angi Reid purchased a catering business and turned it into a full-service banquet and event venue. Following an unexpected offer to sell that business, Angi did just that…and found herself lonely, depressed and lacking direction.
Angi followed her gut and explored the world of Reflexology, added a passion for essential oils, and ultimately combined the two to create FLŌ (Feet Love Oils). She is now a published author and columnist, essential oils educator, Reflexologist, international speaker, owner of four business locations…all with the goal of helping others to improve their physical, emotional and financial health.
So without further ado, let’s hear more about Angi’s journey, in her own words.
How I Started my Business, with Angi Reid
I am Angi Reid and I’m coming to you from FLŌ Studios just outside Atlanta, GA in the USA.
I really didn’t start my first business. I was in the corporate world and I had a car accident. While I was recuperating from the accident, I was hanging out at a banquet facility that my mom had started. She was cooking for church groups, football banquets, parties…those sorts of things in the 1990s.
I started getting these nudges that the business could be a lot bigger than her vision. So about two or three months after helping her out and marinating in my thoughts, I decided I wanted to buy the business from her. I made her an offer and she accepted. In 1993, I purchased Inviting Events. I knew nothing about catering. I knew nothing about banquets. But I did have some business sense, and I could see that they weren’t offering “fries with that order.”
You know when you go to a fast-food restaurant and they ask if you want fries with that order? They are upselling. They want to make sure they sell everything they can provide for that customer.
Rather than just doing parties and events, I started offering flowers for weddings. I started offering DJ services, tuxedo rentals and invitations. I offered lots of “fries” for their orders. At one point, I even rented out my own wedding gown to a few different people. I provided everything but the ring.
I realized this was instant gratification for me and I absolutely loved it.
Fast forward a bit. I started seeing a reflexologist in 1995-1996 for my back issues that resulted from the car accident. The first day I went in, he said, “You have a gift. You need to be doing reflexology.”
I thought, What are you talking about? I have a banquet facility. It’s a very lucrative business. I love what I’m doing…
but that nudge stayed in the back of my brain.
In 1998, I had some health issues. My doctor, who was ahead of her time, suggested I use essential oils. In three days, my chronic sinusitis was gone. The candida that was in my system was gone. I didn’t realize it at the time, but this was another nudge that was being planted by God and The Universe—a nudge that I would use later on.
